Facing the unexpected COVID-19 epidemic, China and other Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) parties fight against the disease and promote project construction through solidarity and mutual assistance. In the BRI countries and regions affected by the epidemic, Chinese enterprises have fully mobilized their resources to undertake the responsibility of combating epidemic.
In Sri Lanka, CETC has accelerated the medical facilities upgrade project of its Ministry of Health, delivering more than 2,000 sets of medical equipments in emergency need to the Sri Lanka National Infectious Disease Hospital and major public hospitals. The Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka sent a letter to express its gratitude to the valuable help from Chinese enterprises during the critical period of fighting against the epidemic and its willingness to promote more in-depth cooperation under the BRI framework.
At this challenging time, Chinese enterprises have expanded the anti-epidemic cooperation between China and the BRI countries and regions through practical actions to overcome the impact of the epidemic and continue to promote high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road.
